Ayaan A. Ali, MPP, BSN, RN, PHN,

Vice President, Programs and Research

Ayaan A. Ali is a dedicated and multifaceted healthcare professional with a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. With a rich blend of clinical expertise and policy acumen, Ayaan excels in both patient-centered care and the strategic implementation of health policies that drive systemic improvements.

Throughout her career, Ayaan has demonstrated exceptional analytical skills, particularly in policy, financial, gender, and statistical analyses. Her proficiency in technical tools such as Stata, MS Office Suite, and Tableau complements her ability to deliver impactful program evaluations and data-driven insights. Ayaan’s strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and conflict resolution, enable her to foster collaborative environments and engender trust among diverse teams.

Ayaan’s clinical tenure at Mayo Clinic was marked by her holistic and trauma-informed care approach, where she managed complex cases involving gastrointestinal, pulmonary, neurological, and psychiatric conditions. Her roles ranged from direct patient care to precepting nursing students, reflecting her commitment to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her involvement in the Coordinating Council Committee and as a Magnet Program Representative underscores her leadership and dedication to nursing excellence.

Her academic achievements, including multiple Dean’s List honors and the prestigious Mary K. Field and Cyrus A. Field Scholarship, highlight her commitment to scholarly excellence. Ayaan has also contributed to the field through research, notably presenting on postpartum hemorrhaging and maternal mortality in Sub-Saharan Africa at the 2017 Midwest Nursing Research Society Conference.

Osman Ahmed

Executive Director

A seasoned Strategic Leader and Community Advocate, Osman possesses a rich and diverse background in policy development, political and electoral campaign management, non-profit management and community engagement. With a focus on driving growth through dynamic leadership, Osman excels in strategic planning, relationship building, and coalition and advocacy development. Osman’s robust communication skills and inspiring public speaking abilities have consistently led to successful outcomes in various initiatives and campaigns. 

Previously, Osman served in executive leadership positions in non-profit,  worked at the United States Senate in leadership roles under two different senators on housing policies and community engagement, playing a pivotal role in legislative processes that positively impacted BIPOC and low-income families. Osman’s efforts in organizing outreach initiatives and building coalitions have been instrumental in developing and implementing key policies.

Osman holds a Master’s in Education & Leadership from Augsburg University and a Bachelor’s in Global Studies & Political Science from the University of Minnesota. Recognized for his leadership and coalition-building skills, Osman has received multiple awards, including the Emerging Alumni Leader and Coalition Builder Award from the University of Minnesota.

Ismahan Ali

Programs Director

Ismahan Ali is a dedicated and experienced program director with a robust 15-year history of working in the non-profit sector. Throughout this time, Ismahan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic thinking, significantly contributing to the development and implementation of impactful programs and supportive services tailored for families and youth. Ismahan believes in the power of community-driven solutions and is committed to creating programs that not only address immediate needs but also build long-term resilience and self-sufficiency. Her work is characterized by a deep empathy, a strategic vision, and a relentless drive to make a difference.

Ismahan holds a Bachelor Degree in business administration and Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree, providing a strong foundation in healthcare and a compassionate approach to addressing the needs of vulnerable populations. This medical background complements her extensive experience in program management, ensuring that health and wellness are integral components of the programs she oversees.

Fadumo Mohamud

Program Manager

Fadumo Mohamud brings over seven years of teaching experience to her role as a Programs Manager, where she is dedicated to education and empowering children and their families. Driven by her passion for learning, Fadumo has taught elementary, middle, and high school students, blending her experiences as a refugee and immigrant to inspire and connect with the next generation.

Her long-term vision includes founding schools and libraries and publishing novels that reflect the resilience and diversity of her journey. Fadumo believes in the transformative power of education and is committed to creating opportunities that uplift communities and foster lifelong learning.

Charlotte Maison

Development Director

Charlotte Maison is an accomplished Development Director with a robust background in the non-profit sector. She holds a degree in Communications with a minor in Business Administration, which has provided her with a solid foundation in both strategic communication and organizational management.

Charlotte’s career in the non-profit industry is marked by her exceptional skills in relationship building, grant writing, fundraising, and marketing. Her ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners has significantly contributed to the success of the organizations she has worked with and initiatives she led.

In her role as Development Director, Charlotte has demonstrated a remarkable talent for securing grants and funding, ensuring that PNA has the necessary resources to achieve its mission and make an impact.

Sahra Sabriye

Family Services Manager

Sahra Sabrie is a dedicated and accomplished Family Services Manager with a rich background in education, economics, and project management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education Development and Economics, and is a certified professional translator and interpreter. Her language proficiency and cultural competency enable her to effectively communicate and advocate for diverse families, ensuring that they receive the support and resources they need.

Throughout her career, Sahra has been committed to empowering families and fostering positive outcomes through innovative solutions and compassionate leadership. Her diverse skill set and dedication make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Cherille Roa

Case Management Associate & Administrative Support

At PNA, Cherille supports all our family services and programs, assists team on daily operations and tasks. With a wealth of experience in digital content management, customer service, and administrative support, Cherille Roa brings a dynamic skill set to her role. She excels in managing social media platforms, appointment scheduling, and email and calendar coordination, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Proficient in tools like Hootsuite and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Cherille leverages her expertise to monitor content performance, generate insightful reports, and drive data-informed strategies. Her commitment to excellence ensures seamless content delivery and strategic collaboration, enhancing the team’s overall efficiency and impact.

Cherille is passionate about supporting organizational success through her versatile administrative and digital expertise, contributing to the delivery of exceptional service and outcomes.
