Our Services and Key Programs

We are committed to building stronger families, empowering seniors, and fostering collaborative networks of businesses and community partners. Some of our flagship programs include:

  • Wholistic Family and Youth Services:

We offer wholistic and multi-purpose family support and services that address the unique needs of immigrant families and parents. Through our family services program, we assist families with individual cases, provide referrals and partnership services to ensure families have access to the resources they need from basic needs and resources. We host workshops and events that involve families and encourage parents to participate in their children’s education, especially in households where English may not be the first language. In Our Positive Parenting Program, We provide trainings for families and parents on positive parenting, child development, children safety and help them with finding resources they need  focuses on empowering parents with practical skills, fostering community connections, and promoting culturally informed parenting practices. Through monthly workshops, speaker sessions, and a Parent Advisory Council (PAC), the program addresses topics like technology safety, nutrition, stress management, communication, and school readiness. It equips parents with tools to build stronger families and navigate challenges effectively.

  • Unity in Reading and Homework Help:

One of our cornerstone programs, Unity in Reading, is an intergenerational after-school initiative designed to ignite a passion for reading and writing in Pre-K through 3rd-grade students, with a special focus on immigrant children. Literacy is the key to unlocking endless opportunities, and through this program, we provide an enriching, intergenerational experience. Seniors, retired professionals, and community members volunteer their time to mentor and inspire young learners. This program is offered free of charge, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and community support. We also provide 1:1 and group tutoring for children and youth who need support with school work and projects.

  • Pathways and Career Education Program

The Pathways and Career Education program by Prosperity for New America (PNA) is dedicated to empowering youth ages 14-24, Newer Americans, and job seekers with the tools and support needed to build meaningful careers. This program is 1:1 support and offers a comprehensive suite of services, including resume building, career coaching, and networking with employers, to help participants navigate career opportunities in growing industries such as healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and other essential fields.

  • Old is Gold Program:

This intergenerational program bridges the gap between seniors and youth by fostering meaningful connections through storytelling. Seniors share their experiences, life wisdom, and mentorship, while youth support them with language skills, navigating services, and participating in community projects. It is a perfect mentorship model for young and seniors to learn from each other and develop meaningful relationships and lifelong friendships. This program is really fun and participants enjoy creating exciting and fun activities together, where everyone is expected to listen, share, and learn at their own pace.

  • Community Resource Hub

A dynamic initiative featuring monthly jobs and career fairs held throughout Minnesota. Through partnerships with public and private organizations, we provide career training, counseling, and networking opportunities. These events often take place in collaboration with businesses and faith-based organizations, creating accessible opportunities for immigrants and New Americans to explore career paths and community services. These mini job fairs and career advancement opportunities are the best ways for community members to find resources and for businesses to find talents in partnership with community partners.
