As an organization dedicated to research and advocacy for African immigrants, PNA collaborates with higher education institutions and research entities to engage African immigrant communities, identify their needs, and analyze policies impacting them. The focus of PNA’s research and evaluation is community-centric, leveraging data to advocate for community needs and effect meaningful change. Findings from research endeavors influence policy changes and foster a culture of action within the community. PNA generates new data and approaches to guide donors and the nonprofit sector on effectively engaging African immigrants.
Education and Outreach
PNA amplifies the voices of parents, students, and communities by conducting research on their needs and collaborating with school administrations to develop community-driven strategies. Recognizing the diverse needs of the communities served, PNA offers parent advisory services, workshops and trainings for parents, community leaders, schools and institutional administrators.
Designing Intergenerational Services and Programs:
Supportive Services for Youth and Families
PNA’s programs blend grassroots innovation with deep respect for ancestral identities, traditions, and cultural preservation. Services include:
- Family engagement and intergenerational after-school programs and literacy for immigrant families and students
